There I was, standing before, well, You.
I sat down and stayed silent for a long while.
I only had one question in mind
“If God is The Compassionate, The Merciful, why are they quoting Qur’an implying that He is so strict and punishing?”
You see, I believed, and still do, that God is The Compassionate, The Merciful.
It didn’t compute in my logical mind that God who is the Compassionate, the Merciful, is that strict and punishing.
That day I only had one request in my heart
“Please show me how to read Qur’an, because I don’t believe that God who is the Compassionate, the Merciful, is that strict and punishing.”
From that moment onwards, Life has been responding to that very question, that very request for me. God is that kind.
True questions and requests move us through life. It helps shape our path. It might even provide hints to our purpose.
So what’s your question?
